  Our Synagogue


Our Synagogue is a listed building, an unpretentious converted house situated on the attractive, tree lined Wellington Road. The warm, friendly community is made up mainly of professional people. It spans all age groups and our Synagogue sanctuary has a welcoming informal ambiance.

Our Synagogue is unique in more ways than one. Membership involvement in the actual service in greatly encouraged. At our Synagogue everyone feels at home. We practise non-judgmental Orthodox Judaism. We take the formality out of the service and put the fun and meaning back into coming to pray. At our services the entire congregation becomes the choir and children are always welcome.

We have a Kiddush every week and a traditional Cholent and Gefilta fish Kiddush is enjoyed by all once a month. Our Synagogue is truly a home away from home for all our members.

We also provide a carers programme for our elderly members, including: visits, transport and bereavement support and counselling.

The synagogue hosts regular Shabbatons and annual Holiday events featuring guest speakers and entertainment.
